TEACHING
Introduction
Faith is not an excuse for laziness. Rather, genuine faith inspires diligence, responsibility, commitment and purposeful action.

Many people desire extraordinary results but are unwilling to embrace the discipline, sacrifice and consistent effort required to produce them.
*They pray for success but neglect preparation.
*They pray for financial breakthroughs but fail to develop their skills.
*They ask God for opportunities but are not prepared when opportunities comes.

Beloved, God is not glorified by our excuses when He has given us abilities, opportunities, time and resources to put to work.
Faith does not replace work; faith gives work its purpose, direction and confidence in God.

Proverbs 10:4 tells us that a slack hand brings poverty, while the hand of the diligent makes rich.
This means diligence is not merely a good habit; it is a principle that influences the outcome of our lives.
WHAT IS DILIGENT FAITH
Diligent faith is the ability to believe God, act on His Word, remain committed to your responsibilities and consistently pursue the assignments He has placed in your hands.
It means:
Praying and preparing.
Believing and taking action.
Trusting God and developing your abilities.
Expecting results while remaining committed to the process.
Refusing to allow laziness, procrastination or fear to stop you.
Abraham believed God, but he also obeyed God's instructions.
Noah believed God's warning and demonstrated his faith by building the ark.
Faith must find expression in our daily activities.
PUT YOUR HANDS TO WORKS
Colossians 3:23 says:
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” (KJV)
Notice that Scripture says whatsoever you do.

Whether you are:
* A business owner, serve your customers diligently.
* A teacher, teach with commitment and excellence.
* A student, study diligently.
* A mother, manage your home responsibly.
* A pastor or minister, serve faithfully.
* An employee, give your best even when nobody is watching.
* An entrepreneur, develop your ideas and work consistently.

Your present assignment may look small, but how you handle it can determine the opportunities that come tomorrow.
Do not despise small beginnings. Do not abandon your responsibilities while waiting for bigger opportunities.
God can use what is already in your hands to take you where you desire to go.
Remember Moses and his rod (Exodus 4:2). What appeared ordinary became an instrument of extraordinary manifestation in God's hands.

ENEMIES OF DILIGENT FAITH
* Laziness:
Knowing what to do but refusing to do it.
* Procrastination:
Constantly postponing necessary action.
* Fear of failure:
Allowing the possibility of failure to prevent you from starting.
* Inconsistency:
Starting well but refusing to remain committed.
* Excuses:
Blaming circumstances instead of taking responsibility for what you can change.
You cannot continually surrender to these enemies and expect consistent progress.
NOTE
Proverbs 10:4 – Diligence produces wealth, while laziness leads to poverty.
Colossians 3:23 – Whatever your hands find to do, do it wholeheartedly as unto the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 – Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.
Proverbs 22:29 – A diligent person will stand before kings.
James 2:17 – Faith without works is dead.
ACTION PLAN
Today, identify one area of your life where you have been believing God but have not been taking sufficient action.

Today, identify one area of your life
Ask yourself:
**  What has God placed in my hands?
**  What responsibility have I been neglecting?
**  What skill do I need to develop?
What important task have I continued to postpone?
**  What practical step can I take today?

Your assignment today:

***  Stop postponing that important task.
***  Start something, complete something, improve something or develop something.

Do not wait until everything is perfect before you begin.

QUOTE
"Faith gives you the courage to begin, diligence gives you the discipline to continue, and God gives the increase."
