TEACHING
Arise and Shine — Let Your Faith Be Seen
God has not called us to hide the light He has placed within us. Isaiah 60:1 declares, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” This is a call to rise from discouragement, fear, passivity, and every posture that keeps us from walking in God's purpose.
To arise means to respond. It means refusing to remain where fear, disappointment, or doubt has held you.
To shine means to allow the life of God in you to become visible through your character, choices, service, and faith. We do not shine by our own strength; we shine because the Lord is our light and His grace works in us.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world.” He taught that our light should shine before others so they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.
Our faith is meant to make a difference—not only in what we say, but in how we live.
Sometimes, shining requires courage.
You may need to stand for what is right when others choose the easier way. You may need to use your gifts, serve someone, speak words of hope, or take a step toward the assignment God has placed in your heart. Do not wait until you feel perfect or fully ready. Begin with the grace and ability God has given you today.
This month's theme is FAITH THAT WORKS. Faith becomes visible when we rise in obedience and let God's light influence our homes, workplaces, communities, and relationships. Your good works do not replace God's grace; they point people back to Him, ummmmm.
Today, refuse to dim your light. Arise from discouragement. Shine through love, integrity, diligence, kindness, and courageous faith. Let your life be a testimony that God is at work in you. Arise. Shine. Make an impact for His glory.
NOTE
Arise in faith. Shine with purpose. Let God be seen through you.
QUOTE
