Walking by Faith — Trusting God Beyond What You See
Walking by faith is one of the greatest expressions of our trust in God. It means choosing to believe His Word, depend on His promises, and follow His leading even when we cannot see the full picture.
The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:7,
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
This does not mean that we ignore reality or pretend that challenges do not exist. Rather, our circumstances do not have the final authority over our lives. We acknowledge what we see, but place greater confidence in what God has spoken.
Sometimes, God may lead you into a season where the next step is clear, but the destination is not. You may not understand how provision will come, how a door will open, or how a situation will change. Yet faith says, “If God has spoken, I can trust Him.”
Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Our faith must be nourished by Scripture. The more we know His promises and understand His character, the more confidently we can follow Him.
Faith is not passive waiting; it is active trust. When you believe God for a better future, prepare for it. When you believe Him for success, work diligently. When you believe Him for direction, seek His wisdom. When you believe Him for a breakthrough, continue to pray, obey, and take responsible steps.
Abraham walked by faith. Peter stepped out of the boat at the word of Jesus. Their experiences remind us that faith often requires courage to move beyond our comfort zones. You may feel afraid, but you can still take the step. You may not have all the answers, but you can trust the One who does.
As we continue this month of FAITH THAT WORKS, remember that faith is not merely what you confess with your mouth; it is also how you live. Stop allowing what you see to determine what you believe. Let God's Word determine how you move.
