IT'S A NICE TIME TO DO CHECKUP

2 Tim 3:1-5
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

We are not citizens of this world trying to make our way to Heaven, we are citizens of Heaven trying to make our way through this world, we should live as those who are on a journey home.

Vs 1 of our anchor scripture says "But know this that in the last days perilous times will come." KNOW THIS - Ignorance of the signs of the last days does not exempt us from the consequence of the judgment.

It is time to do a personal check-up on a regular basis because the perilous times will come.

We must watch on our lives, do a checkup and make sure we are not ignorant of the signs of the last days so we don't become victims.

Let's highlights the signs and take a closer look at them;

Man will be lovers of themselves
Lovers of money
Boasters
Proud
Blasphemers
Disobedient to Parents
Unthankful
Unholy
Unloving
Unforgiving
Slanderers
Without self-control
Brutal
Despisers of good
Traitors
Headstrong
Haughty

We must pick on all these one after the other and do a thorough check up on ourselves. If peradventure we find any of these in us we must make efforts to eradicate it from our lives.

Without Holiness, the Bible says No man shall see the Lord. We must make sure no SIN and WEIGHT stops us from making it to heaven.

HOW TO DO A CHECK UP

For instance, let's take Unforgiveness from our list because this is one major thing most Christians are guilty of.

Unforgiveness is cancerous, it is a weight. It is like Driving a car forward but looking backward, the Car will crash. Unforgiveness takes our lives backward and then crashes us in a hill. That is not our portion in Jesus name.

STEPS

Go through the anchor scripture.
Check on the list and check if you are guilty of any
Pick on each one you are guilty of and pray about it
Make a decision by the help of the Holy Spirit
Be prayerful and be disciplined
Load God's Word into your heart
Read Christian literatures by anointed Men of God
Work on having a healthy spiritual life
Be heaven conscious - make up your mind to make it to heaven
Know that heaven is real

PRAYER

Father, shake away anything that will stop me from seeing you in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I pray for you that when he appears, you shall not be found wanting in Jesus name.
